The Father Martin's Ashley DUI/DWI education programs are certified by the State of Maryland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Administration.
Most patients come to us for outpatient treatment following a DUI/DWI
offense. You may enroll yourself or be referred by your attorney.
The mission of the program is to help participants recognize the consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs; and to modify behaviors to avoid future alcohol and drug related problems. Our goal is to help reduce the number of people driving under the influence, and ultimately, to help save lives.
Father Martin’s Ashley DUI/DWI (Alcohol and Drug) Programs:
The first step is an assessment by a certified specialist who will
determine whether the 12-week or 26-week education
program is appropriate for you.
- The 12-week program is for those who have received a DUI/DWI charge for the first or have been assessed as "social drinkers."
- The 26-week program is for those with a history of multiple offenses, or those assessed with an alcohol abuse problem.
Both programs include educational programming and group counseling.
Participants in both programs are expected to attend one to two 12-Step
meetings per week to maintain complete abstinence from all alcohol and
drugs.

to schedule an evaluation appointment or if you would like more
information.
Our evaluations are based on standardized alcohol-screening tests and are conducted by trained evaluators that are also Certified Addictions Counselors. The evaluation appointment is required before you can
begin attending sessions. Program assignment is based on the assessment; participants do not choose which program they will be placed in.
